What is a free screen recorder?

A screen recorder saves everything on your monitor as a video file — for lecture replays, game highlights, tutorials, bug reports and YouTube content. Many "free" recorders are actually trials: they cap recording at 5–10 minutes, stamp a big watermark, or ask for payment at save time. TocTok Recorder has none of that: no time limit, no watermark, no sign-up, and zero data collection.

How to use it

Choose full screen, a dragged region, or a single window. Pick your audio (system sound, mic, or both), then hit record (F9). Pause with F8, grab a screenshot with F10, and stop to auto-save an MP4. Turn on the drawing tools to annotate live while recording.

Good to know

Respect copyright when recording paid courses or streaming content — keep personal copies personal. Recording 1080p for an hour can take several GB, so check disk space. The "Unknown publisher" warning on first run is normal for free unsigned apps: "More info → Run anyway".
